Wow their offense does not look good at all. I understand its only 3 games but their offense minus Pujols and Edmonds honestly isnt going to scare anybody this year. They need somebody to have a monster unexpected year or else I think they are in serious trouble if they dont make a trade for a corner OF.

Rolen?

Other than his omission, I agree completely. Our bullpen needs somebody to come out of the woodwork too.

Ya I meant Rolen instead of Edmonds. Minus Pujols and Rolen their offense isnt going to scare anybody. At this point in Edmonds career I dont think he really scares anybody.

Duncan will put up solid numbers hitting in front of Pujols. But I agree with you in that the Cardinals offense isn't good. Coupled with their makeshift rotation, I don't see them being much of a threat in the NL Central this year.

Contingent on Carpenter's elbow being better now and him not suffering an injury, the Cardinals rotation will be far from makeshift. They have the second best rotation in the division contingent on Sheets being healthy.

Not until they prove it. You cannot just assume that.

Yes I can. I can assume wrong if they aren't that good. Much like I assume the Cubs have the best offense in the Central. I could be right, I could be wrong. I'm going to have an opinion either way.

We'll you're right. But it was more like a statement.

I think They have the second best rotation in the division contingent on Sheets being healthy.

would have been an assumption. As it stands it was a statement.

Awful bold statement. I think the Cards, Cubs, and Brewers will all be fighting it out for the tops in the division when it comes to pitching performance, but I would be reluctant to say that any of them are definitely the best or 2nd at this point.

I do think the Cards biggest problem (assuming their offense comes around) is getting from the potentially good starting pitching to Izzy and hoping he holds up for the whole year.

Ok. I stated it as fact because I believe it is true. We'll see if I'm wrong or not.

Prior's going to come back to 2003 form and the Cubs will have the best rotation.

I think.

Well, I hope, anyway. ;)

the brewers are pretty easily the best if sheets is healthy

After the Rick Ankiel saga, I hope for all of your sakes and Prior's that whatever the outcome, it happens soon and doesn't drag on for 5 years.

Well most of those prescriptions were to anti-aging clinics.

Pujols went 0-5 with 2K's tonight. He did have a hard-hit ball that was just short of a HR, but he's still struggling quite a bit.

How bad is our offense? Molina was intentionally walked tonight and the pitcher wasn't up next.

Yikes. I thought our offense was bad so far this year. Cards as a team are hitting .223 with a .276 OBP.

that's because jim tracy is either a complete idiot or had a brain fart.... the cards are lucky enough as is, they don't need other managers handing them victories
