Well, we didnt lose?

Cubs will stay home and host the D'Backs.

This game will be televised on CSN Chicago. Please tell me Dan Plesac is done. The same broadcast will also be available on MLB.TV

The 5th starter, Wade Miller will get the nod for the Cubs as Doug Davis gets it for the D'Backs.

There won't be any extra innings for a tie score -- the Cubs will be leaving after the game for the flight to Las Vegas.

I can only imagine Z gambling.

I think Miller is gonna do well. I'm gonna say 6 innings, 2 runs, 5 SO. He pitches with confidence and really fools alot of hitters out there.

I imagine Friday morning's headline might read something like this:

ZAMBRANO STRANGLES BLACKJACK DEALER: No arrests made, what happens in Vegas, stays.

BREAKING NEWS!!

Carlos Zambrano went crazy in Las Vegas today after he had a bit of a losing streak at the blackjack table. Reportedly, Zambrano lost four hands in a row when he had either a 19 or a 20 and began to curse and scream. It was then that Zambrano really lost control. Fortunately the only casualty was the blackjack table which Zambrano picked up and snapped in half over his leg. Zambrano reportedly felt "relieved" after smashing the table and that his leg felt great.

Forget the rage if he's not winning a couple of hands. I want to hear about him pointing up at the sky after doubling down or screaming at another player at the table who wins a hand and appears to be showing up Big Z.

And - and I strongly believe in this - he must maintain his new practice of referring to himself in the third person as "Big Z." Like if he loses 4 hands in a row. He just looks at the dealer and says, "Sorry, but Big Z must go."

Of course, it would be best if he's gambling with the understanding that he's got a new long-term contract in place. ... Get it done, Jim.

According to the front page of diamondbacks.mlb.com Doug Davis will be pitching against the Cubs today. It's a split squad team for the D'Backs.

Bruce Miles thinks it will be Doug Davis.

The Cubs conclude their Arizona schedule today when they play the Arizona Diamondbacks at HoHoKam Park (2:05 p.m., Comcast SportsNet). Wade Miller pitches for the Cubs against Doug Davis.

You think there's a dealer in Vegas with the guts to tell Z he lost?

They could just call in the Micheal Jackson robot for reinforcement.
