Our local paper here in Monroe was looking for someone to contribute an online fantasy blog. I was selected.

Here's a link (Scroll down a bit if it's not at the top.)

In my bio, I even gave NSBB a plug.

I don't consider myself a fantasy expert at all, but I thought I'd give it a try.

If any of you have any ideas for a weekly collumn, let me know.

Nice article. Good sleepers too. I think Tulowitzski will be a big one this year. In my other league where I was [expletive] and forgot about the draft (and had the #1 pick) I had Furcal and Crosby as my Shortstops, and then Furcal got injured. Crosby sucks, but luckily no one had even drafted Tulowitzski. I'm rather high on his expectations as well

I appreciate the nice comments. The first one is always the easiest. I figure the hard part will be coming up with ideas each week. By the end of April, I may be soliciting readers for questions so I can take a mailbag approach.

I'll probably use this thread to post links when I have a new one up.

for a geeky and i know we're all geeky fantasy article you could discuss average draft slots and then cross reference those with projections and scarcity at various positions to completey shatter the average draft slots. but yeah im not so sure a newspaper is the best place for that article.

You assume my math skills are strong enough to put that together. There's a reason I have a teaching certification in English/Language Arts and my first college degree was Religion/History.

If you have some data you'd like to share, I might dumb it down for my readers though.

I plan on getting to work on something in the near future.

I'll also try to keep up with the re-caps this year if that's something you want me to do.

So English majors can't be good at math? I have a graduate English degree and produce donor giving projections for nonprofits. There are lots of exponents and square roots involved, but somehow I manage. :)

I can help you out on those sometimes as well if you want. I work at night so most of my afternoons are free. Or I could do the games you won't be able to watch and get a recap up for. Just let me know either way.

With Tim's approval, your help is accepted. I have Tivo, so that helps me catch up...but there are some games I can't do...specifically when I go out of town to watch the Cubs since I don't have a lap top.

Ha! Maybe I should pay you to proofread my terrible grammar.

If you give me time, I don't mind proofing something for you. It all depends on how much I've already done in my grading.

Nice picks, Vance.

I drafted all three for a league that I'm in.

They're all matched up against pitchers they hit pretty well on opening day, too.

Unfortunately for the Cubs, Dunn is Dunn against Z.
