Astros.com

 

The Astros offered to reassign Hidalgo to the Minor Leagues, but he declined, indicating he'd like to try to hook on with a different team that may have room for him on its Major League roster.

I remember a couple years ago when he was good.

 

It doesnt seem that long ago.

His .314/.391/.636 line over 153 games in 2000, and his .309/.385/.572 line in 141 games in 2003 are pretty darn good, especially when you factor in his plus defense.

I realize this. I was just responding to stichface implying he was never good for more than "a month or so one time"

I still think he'd make an excellent platoon partner for Jacque in right.

 

He wasn't good enough to beat out Luke Scott or Jason Lane. I'll take Floyd and Pagan over him at this point.

Luke Scott is good at baseball.
