Link.

Paul Wilson was released Thursday by the Cincinnati Reds, another setback as he tries to come back from shoulder surgery.

Wilson, a 34-year-old-right-hander, was the Reds' Opening Day starter two years ago, coming off an 11-6 record in 2004. He was 1-5 with a 7.77 ERA in 2005 before surgery.

I guess with all the bullpen arms, the Reds don't have room for a starter.

I'm just waiting for someone to post the Farnsworth vs. Wilson takedown (or rather Farnsworth's, since Wilson never stood a chance).

I was coming here to do just that...

Man.. I can only imagine how much that could've hurt.. especially from a guy who throws 100mph+...

This has always been one of my favorite Farnsworth memories.

man, that lineup was sick, heh.

Wow:

L Johnson CF
J Blauser SS
S Sosa RF
M Grace 1B
G Hill LF
T Houston C
G Gaetti 3B
C Meyers 2B
K Farnsworth P

Even better, the Dodgers lineup had 5 future Cubs in it.

Eric Young

Todd Hollandsworth

Eric Karros

Todd Hundley

Mark Grudzielanek.

When I first opened the link I thought "I didn't realize EY and Grudz were here at the same time." Then I realized I was looking at the wrong lineup.
