Great inning for the Gooz. He looks really good. Wasn't really his fault that 2 runs were given up. I don't see how he can't be the 5th starter.

 

I'll be eager to read Lou's comments after the game.

 

 

Even though I wasn't counting on Prior, I'm still sad to see what's happend to him. He just seemed liek such the real deal, something so rare and special. Not just good, special.

It's just an annoying catch-all that everybody uses to describe a hitter. It's largely a throw-away line.

Wow, Al Yellon. I remember that name from like 10 years ago on the Cubs usenet newsgroup.

 

Also, I think they got the impression that his calves were small because he wasn't wearing the "high socks."

He didn't have to. He just hit a popup in third base foul territory and Jeter killed himself jumping into the stands afterwards for the press.
