By the way, after a 5-1 first round for the Big 10, they went 1-4 in the second round.

 

That was completely expected. The only one who really played poorly throughout the tournament was Wisconsin (and somewhat Illinois). Purdue, Indiana, and Michigan State showed something by all winning their first round games and playing well in their second round games-they just happened to run into Florida, UCLA, and UNC respectively. I think the Big 10 showed with their performance that they did deserve all their bids and they were seeded correctly.

agreed and if we would have played basketball the last 5 minutes instead of keep away and prevent defense we would have really done well. We let the big ten down.

 

Not even the staunchiest big ten supporter would of said this would be a successful tournament. Purdue/IU/MSU did well for themselves and got moral victories in the 2nd round but still they lost. Wiscy is the biggest disappointement. Hell OSU almost lost.

I'm a Pac-10 supporter and always think it's underrated, but Wazzou simply wasn't that good -- at least not on a national level. Three teams into the sweet sixteen would be mighty impressive, though, by seeding, that's how many were supposed to get there.

WSU should have won that game though.

 

They don't have the athletes, but they had the discipline, defense and coaching to get into the Sweet 16.

It's a good thing Kemp has 18 points today because I would be ready to kill him if he didn't.

 

EDIT: Nevada is playing with fire right now. They REALLY need to be careful here.

They're a solid team, but not overly impressive in any fashion. Wazzou was also lucky by being placed in what was likely the weakest four-team bracket of the entire tournament.
