Based on the match-ups, if Cubs do have a MLB players filled line-up, they will likely win.. If AAA, they might not.

Also, how many innings is Z slated for?

Please cut down on the walks, Carlos.

With Prior's return very much up in the air, it looks like my dream of trading you for ARod is less likely, so shape it up.

It should be fun but don't forget (I don't want you to be disappointed), the updated MLB.tv Premium features won't be available until 4/2.

Oh man! I forgot about that! Oh well I'm all set for the season then...

I just signed up for the MLB.tv monthly subscription. I'm only going to need it for the one month, so my question is does mlb.com just auto-renew my subscription each month? Am I going to have to call and cancel at the end of my month?

I like this lineup but I'm kind of surprised that Lou didn't experiment, right away, with Jones in the 2-hole and Floyd in the 5 spot. My guess is Lou is trying to bring Cliff along slowly.

Game Notes

Chicago has recorded five outfield assists this spring, including four in the team’s last six games.

Buck Coats leads the club with two outfield assists while Angel Pagan, Felix Pie and Matt Murton have one apiece.

Last season, Cubs outfielders had 14 outfield assists, including four by Jacque Jones, three by Murton and two by Pagan.

The Cubs’ .320 spring batting average is third among NL clubs … Milwaukee is first with a .331 batting average and Arizona is second with a .323 mark.

The Cubs have homered in 11 consecutive games … last season, the Cubs belted homers in 11 or more consecutive games just once, during a season-high 12-game streak from August 5-18.

Chicago has hit 15 home runs this spring training, tied for third-most in the NL with Cincinnati (Milwaukee leads with 17, San Diego has 16) … the Cubs have 14 stolen bases, which ranks second in the NL (Colorado, 21).

Upcoming Probable Starters:

Tuesday @ Arizona: RHP Wade Miller (0-0) vs. RHP Micah Owings (0-0)

Wednesday: Off Day

Bruce, a couple questions...

1) is Barrett fighting a minor injury? I haven't seen much of him lately

2) is there any chance of Theriot beating out DeRosa for starting 2B?

Hopefully he's improved his release point over last season. He could've had several more assists if it weren't for all of the throws that he drilled into the turf or sailed over his target. He's got a strong arm.

I hope not.

Theriot strikes me as a guy that could be exposed as an everyday player. I think the ebst fit for him is his current role. DeRosa would be a very expensive utility man.

I'm not saying that your wrong about him being an expensive utility man, but I really have a problem with this way of thinking. If the better player doesn't play, it hurts the team. I don't know if its the case this time, but playing a player because he makes more is not smart.
