Cubs lead 2-1.

 

Peavy is done.

 

Big man in commercial revokes the rights of some poor souls to sell Miller High Life.

 

 

We had High Life as our house beer one year at IU ... man, those were some horrible mornings-after... to all 5 senses, really.

 

High Life is trash.

Kevin Cameron (RHP) is in for the Padres.

 

Coats falls behind to a quick (0-2)

Soft grounder foul to first. (0-2)

Hard foul grounder to third (0-2)

Flared foul (0-2)

Ball low and away (1-2)

Pulled soft foul (1-2)

Bounced foul off home plate. (1-2)

 

Slashed past the third baseman. Aramis scores (thanks to a dropped throw) Runners on 2nd and 3rd.

 

Tomas Perez bunts for a base hit. Barrett scores. Runners on 1st and 3rd... two down.

No argument here, bub. I'm partial to the Guinness or Sam Adams. That was a rough time with the High Life. I wish that big man repossessing the High Life was around back then.

Ball low... bounces away from LaForest just a bit. Perez gets caught in deadman's land but LaForest doesn't throw. Perez back to first. (2-0)

Cedeno with the only hit of the top of the third for the Cubs against Texas-Ben Howard is in to pitch in the bottom of the 3rd. Still 5-4 Cubs.

 

Did Cotts make it two whole innnings? I am hoping that Lou doesn't have his heart set on Cotts making the team. He has looked horrible this spring.

In case anyone hasn't been listening, Dan Plesac would like you to know that the health of the pitchers is a big deal to the Cubs this year.
