#$@%@ is not allowed? Why on Earth not? This appears in the Sunday funnies for crying out loud! Or do you just mean in the context of say Shut the @#$@%@~ up? (where its clear what the characters mean)

I think we need ST game summaries somewhere so we don't have to read all that crap to know what happened in the game . . . I guess the boxscore is good enough but some details would be nice to see without 45 pages of arguing about whether we should care or not.

oh, and my favorite is "even with Lou we still leave runners on base!" What did he expect a new team philosophy that prevented LOBs?

i think it's funny that anyone actually gives a [expletive] about spring training games. outside of seeing that guys are healthy, i couldn't care less about the actual games.

what's weirder to me is caring about other people caring . . .

it's not that i really care about it...it's just odd. i check the game thread to see how prior's doing and people are cursing, "oh god!"-ing, and just being general drama queens.

That's my frustration as well. There are some things to get concerned over in ST, but not to the point we've seen in the game threads.

It was quite clear what the characters meant. BeerHere did it quite a bit in yesterday's game thread. I believe I did say variations of curse words, so I think I made it clear enough to the people who needed to hear it.

I've had it with editing posts and sending PM's about the same [expletive]!

Bottom line, this community needs to act more maturely. You never know who might be reading this site. Bruce has all kinds of contacts. Immaturity destroys credibility.

the game thread is worthless.

I wouldn't say most game threads are worthless, but yesterday's game most certainly was. Without a decent feed for the game (thanks for nothing Seattle broadcast team), it's a bunch of jibberish that you can't make heads or tails of.

One of my dreams is to create an adult rated Sports Channel. One where cursing is not only allowed, but encouraged. Having very biased announcers cheer for their teams while broadcasting the games (one for each team during the game), and letting them get into it with each other if needed. All press conferences are unedited too, unless in the men's locker room.

That's funny because I actually put together a "program" and sent it to HBO/Showtime a few years back. Never heard anything back, but I think it would be a whole new genre for sports.
