Winning is fun and fun is winning.

ewwww, that reminds me too much of Ozzie

Ozzie would make a comment about how only gay people lose.

Has anyone set up Tim Hardaway and Ann Coulter on a blind date yet?

Ann Coulter needs a blind date with my shotgun, on her FACE!!

Someone riddle me this. How does Sullivan know that Prior is in the low to mid 80s when Bruce says there's no gun readouts at the stadium?

Bruce said there is no gun up on the board at the stadium-I'm sure there are some guns actually there, and the question is if Sullivan could get access to interview one of those people during the game.

Or just has to be sitting near someone with a gun.

There you go-looking for the easy and logical answer again :D

You're right of course, Sullivan was probably just sitting in a little different place than Bruce and could see a gun from where he was.

There's no scouts there?

I thought of that, but I'd imagine there's a disconnect between Sullivan sitting amongst the scouts right behind home plate, and then posting a story about it minutes after Prior's day is done. I don't think it adds up.

Prior yanked after getting four outs, allowing three runs

ASSOCIATED PRESS

03/05/2007

PEORIA, Ariz. -- Mark Prior's return didn't answer as many questions as it created. ...

Prior was scheduled to go two innings but left after 40 pitches -- 16 of which were chest-high or higher. After an errant fastball forced catcher Michael Barrett out of crouch and into a reaching snag, pitching coach Larry Rothschild visited Prior on the mound. Mike Morse hit the next pitch into the left-center field gap for a double. ...

Prior sat on the dugout bench and threw his cap over his shoulder and into the back wall of the dugout. ...

Doesn't exactly fall into our "he was just throwing" hopes...

Maybe he's got his own gun.

Doesn't talk about velocity in the AP blurb.

Wonder how fast they clocked him throwing the cap?

What do you mean? It seems like a pretty standard report of his outing.

Will the AP be releasing info about Lilly's first outing?

5 seconds after he finished...?

I wish I could punch these announcers in the face. You had to wait 15 seconds to find out weather Murton got on base or not.

Murton gets a hit, although you probably couldn't tell if you were listening.

That was Coats. Murton was replaced.
