He's a Glendon Rusch killer.

It's looking to me like this was a good trade for the Reds. Willy Mo has a lot of pregression to do.

Looking at the terms, it doesn't actually seem like an especially bad deal. He won't make more than 10 million a year until 2010, and there's a 2011 option for 11 or 13 depending on innings thrown. Even if he regresses to a completely average pitcher, his contract isn't so bad that he can't be traded.

I know, if I were the Reds I'd have preferred to have more good years from him before giving him so much money. If he pitches like he did last year, it's actually a bargain.

PECOTA projects him to be worth a little less than $24 million over the next two years.

I like this deal for the Reds.

Ideally, I'd never go longer than three years for a pitcher.

That amount of money is ridiciulous for him, but hey Gil Meche got 10 a year so with this free agent market nothing is crazy.

Why all the hate for Bronson? Is it the corn rows? It has to be.

In the three years since he has become a full time starter he's posted an ERA+ of 121, 98, and 146. His WHIP in that time is a respectable 1.2,1.3, and 1.88. His K to walk ratio is better than 2:1. He pitches @ 200 innings per year.

He is a pretty good pitcher and on the right side of 30 as well.
