Giants win (finally), eliminating the Rams, Panthers, and Falcons. Packers now need the miracle scenario to win. That's a lot of scoreboard watching, Pack fans.

Yep, but I'll be watching it

The Jets' win clinches them a playoff berth and eliminates Jacksonville.

The Panthers win coupled with the Houston win eliminates Green Bay.

Posted

KC's win keeps them and Tennessee alive.

Dallas loss locks up the NFC playoff picture. Wildcard weekend: NY Giants at Philadelphia, Dallas at Seattle. Bears will play either the Giants (if they win) or the Dallas/Seattle winner (more likely).

Posted
Tennessee loses, so it's down to 2 scenarios, and only the Denver/San Francisco game has meaning in terns of playoff teams. Still a bunch of seeding to be straightened out in the AFC, though.
Posted

San Diego win clinches them the AFC homefield advantage.

Baltimore win clinches them the 2 seed and a first round bye.

Indy, New England, Denver, NY Jets, and Kansas City still paying attention to what's happening.

Indy wraps up the 3 seed, barely.

Just waiting on the Denver result to see whether the matchups are Indy-NY Jets and New England-Denver, or Indy-KC and New England-NY Jets.

Jets are gonna get drilled either way.

If the Jets play Indy, that's the one team that Indy should have success with. I don't even think the Jets RBs could have great days against Indy's awful run D. And if they play New England, the Pats are definitely going to be thinking revenge from the loss that they sustained to the Jets at home earlier this season.

If Ron Dayne can run for 153 yards against Indy's defense, I'm sure the Jets' RB's have a shot to have big days.

Point taken. But out of all the playoff teams in the AFC, that is the one team that the Colts could potentially have some success on stopping.

And Denver blows their playoff spot at home to SF to end their season.

AFC Playoffs:

Kansas City at Indianapolis

NY Jets at New England

I could see the Seahawks "manning up", as you put it, and beating the Bears. It's not likely, but it's possible.

I take it all back. We're one and done for sure. Seattle will kill us.

ok i'll make my picks now, and by that i mean throw darts at a dartboard and see what happens:

NFC

Philly beats NYG

Seattle beats Dallas

N.O. beats Philly

Seattle beats Chicago

Seattle beats N.O.

AFC

Indy beats KC (but NYJ would be much better for Indy)

NE beats NYJ

NE beats SD

Balt beats Indy

Balt beats NE

Seattle beats Baltimore

Is this my pick because I picked Seattle to win the Super Bowl? Probably. More realistically, I think Baltimore beats New Orleans in the Super Bowl.

No sir Truffie Mc Shuffie, NO wins that game and goes to duh supah bowhl!

NE is waiting for them, and wins it all.

Other than 1998, this is by far my most favorite Jet season --- sure, there haven't been many "good" years, but this one is awesome.

I don't care if they get blown out by NE. However, the Jets do match up well against the Pats. This was proven in the Jets W at Foxboro earlier in the year. The Jet defense should hold their own. My prediction is that the Jet offense can't get past the Pat Defense and the Jets lose by 7 to 10 points.

Saints vs. Chargers or Saints vs. Baltimore would be fun games. It would either be a score-fest, or it would be the classic "great offense vs. great defense, which one wins" scenario

Indy's game aganist the Chiefs isn't going to be a easy cake walk for the Colts.

KC's strength (interior offensive line) is the Colts' weakness (interior defensive line). KC have a better chance of beating Indy than they do of beating any other AFC team in the playoffs.

All Trent Green just needs to not turn it over. The Jags ran for like 375 yards on the Colts. LJ should eat them alive. A few PA passes, and regular dose of number 27 should be enough to put 30+ on them.

The key issue is which Chiefs D shows up.
