Left Bears facilities in a car with Bears security staff.

B&B saying maybe he was renting the apartment, not sure he actually lives there.

Now the Sun Times is saying the police won't comment on if its Tank's house or not...

No charges have been filed in the case, pending review, the release said, though a man was reportedly taken from the home in handcuffs.

Gurnee Police Cmdr. Jay Patrick was not available to comment on whether the home was Johnson’s.

Jeez some of these players are dolts! It's not good enough they make millions but they somehow find ways to get arrested for DUI's and drug possesion. We already have lost Tommie Harris, and Mike Brown, now another DT at this rate our defense is going to have a really hard time stopping people.

The DUI's don't really have anything to do with them making millions. It's the drug dealing that gets me. I can somewhat see why a person with nothing, and no means for upward mobility, would get into the drug business game. It's their only chance to make millions. I can't understand why a player wouldn't at least wait until after his career to dabble in such a career. The risk to your legit income is just way too high.

To me it does. Why drive your car when you are making millions when it is so easy for you to hire a personal driver? Drive your car when you are not drinking but if yo know you will be drinking that find other means of transportation.

I think it was Manny Alexander's bat boy.

I'm not saying it's not stupid. I just think there's a difference. When you say "It's not enough they make millions", that to me is the argument against dealing drugs.

I guess the address is an apartment building??

Deputy on air, saying that landlord not responsible for actions in apartment complex if he doesn't know about it.

I heard that it was local authorities though, not feds.

This kind of stuff happens far too often.

For conspiracy theory nuts only:

When I lived in Columubs OH I use to work out at this gym. The guy who worked there was huge. Becuase I generally worked out around 10:30 am there weren't a lot of people at the gym and I kind of got to know him, but he scared me too much to call him a friend. He use to spot me and we worked out together.

He was a bookie, an enforcer, and a drug dealer, mostly steriods. People would come by and give him money all the time and he disappear to his car.

Anyway, he told me that there are a lot of guys in big time college and pro sports who are beholden to organized crime. The mobsters get tips about injuries, game plans, and such and pay the player or more often forgive gambling debts. They rarely ask guys to throw games becuase it is almost always too obvious.

When/if a guy decides not to play ball with the mobster any number of things can happen including a police tip about drugs, a rape charge, DUI arrest and such. They know the player's lifestyle and habits and use their own behavior against them.

Not saying it's true, just interesting

That's really, really interesting.

Neighbors reported that police escorted a man from the house in handcuffs following the raid. Police did not identify the man, but neighbors said they believed he lived at the residence with Johnson and Johnson's girlfriend and children.

Witnesses said at least 20 police officers participated in the raid.

Neighbors also said complaints had been made to Gurnee police in the past about as many as six pit bulls that were seen caged in the back yard of Johnson's home.

In addition, neighbors said complaints had been filed alleging that someone fired a gun in the back yard of the home.

It's true. I've heard the same stories from people involved.

This is the biggest reason why it's important to keep scum bags like Pete Rose out of sports. It's not as simple as throwing games and whatnot, it's the deep doodoo you can get into with the people taking your bets.

I'm going to be the optimistic voice here and say that I think he was renting that place for someone else who are the ones that are in the real trouble.

Please let that be the case.

I'll echo this. I've heard similar things from my peoples.

B&B saying that usually when they conduct these raids, they want the person to be home and catch them red-handed. And they're saying maybe that the guy who was arrested was the one they were after, not Tank.

Don't know what to think, I'm hopeful.

Even still, it doesn't sound like the league would suspend him for any of this stuff, anytime soon.

But if he's in serious enough trouble to go to jail, he still could be out.

Inside info from a friend who is a police officer, (apparently rumors are swimming quickly) drugs and weapons were confiscated from the home and Johnson could be looking at some heavy time as he is on 18 months probation because of another weapons' charge.

Not looking good at all.

As we all know, the Manning, Jr. suspension was ridiculously drawn out. Hopefully the same thing happens here, if at all.
