Air Willie is/was the one issue that could unite the campus...in their hatred of Air Willie.

 

I do, however, miss Little Willie. After the previous group was fired and before the new hires were made, they had a guy fill in who was a good foot, foot and a half shorter than the other people who wore the costume. So at a handful of non-conference basketball games that December, they had a noticeably shorter Willie running around. In order to make it look like the costume wasn't terribly huge on him, they rolled up the extra fabric and folded it up in the back. The only problem was that this made it look like Willie had a huge hump on his back. But they went through with it for several games and thus Little Willie was born.

Nice one. I like his hang loose sign and 1990 cell phone.

 

Sadly they dont have a live Wolverine as a mascot. Probably something about all the liberals at AA not liking a wild animal all caged up or something. I say put him on a leash like a dog and have him walk the sidelines. Although the person holding the leash and anyone who comes near him would probably get his ass all chewed up by that mean frickn animal. Or maybe because wolverines dont live in the state of Michigan anymore..haha. How sorry is that.
