New poll at chicagosports.com about which QB has received more criticism for winning 9 games, Orton or Grossman?

This should be interesting.

Was reading the comments on one of the blogs, and one reader says Lovie would be "too smart" to show the Pats all their blitzes and defensive formations in case they played them again in the Superbowl.

Certainly an interesting point that no one had brought up yet. After all, this was a MUST-WIN for the Pats, and not so much for the Bears.

I love how the Cowboys are suddenly better than the bears. Romo is doing exactly what Grossman did at the beginning of the year, except he plays for Dallas so he is obv. for real!

Can't wait for them to crash and burn in their first playoff game (or maybe crash and burn down the stretch).

I'm pretty sure the Bears have the market cornered on this concept.

Brian Greise has never thrown an interception in his life. No really, I saw him play every game in college and even then he never threw an interception. Every decision he makes is always the right one and if he makes the wrong read its the wr or olines fault. Guys who dont have the arm strength manage the game well because they make up for it in smarts and thus are immune from making mistakes. Griese is the model. He should start.

That's hilarious. You're kidding, right?

FYI:

Year TM | G | Comp Att PCT YD Y/A TD INT

2002 den | 13 | 291 436 66.7 3214 7.4 15 15

That's just one year.

Oh im totally kidding.

Griese. Lets remember this, after his 2000 season in which he threw for 19tds and 4int he was annoited one of the top upcoming qbs. It was so long Elway hello Griese. Well the next 2 years he threw for only 4 more TD's than int the Mike Shannahan offense. Shannahan got sick of him as fast as he is Jake Plummer. He had a pretty decent 2004 under John Gruden, but the next year before he got injured he was borderline average.

He's had a checkered past like Grossman is this short year. Except Grossman has much more upside than Griese. Brian Griese is a great backup QB but an average starter. Grossman really needs to suck before they turn the reigns over to Brian.

I touched on a similar point regarding the bland offense utilized against the Jets last week.

Not to complain too late after the fact, but did anyone else have a problem with Lovie calling the TO before the half to ice the kicker so late in the snap count? He basically gave the kicker a free practice kick, it should be noted that the kicker missed the 1st one.

This might've been mentioned earlier.

Between that and going for the FG with < 4 mins, not one of Lovies better coached games.

Mike and Mike were savaging Grossman again this morning. Peter King was on and guess what, he likes the fighting Tony Romo's in the NFC. Never would have guessed it.

Yeah, I heard that garbage too. However, I think I heard something even worse last night during MNF. I believe one of the those idiots tried to say something to the effect that now that SEA had Alexander and Hasselback starting again that they were now the class of/team to beat in the NFC. While that certainly helps them, they're still 7-4. While fully healthy, one game against the Packers with Denver and San Diego still to play does not all of the sudden make you the class of the NFC.

Honestly, its going to be hilarious when the Giants, with a couple of their defensive starters returning, beat up the Cowboys in the swamp this weekend.
