Well, if we're using gold gloves as the standard, Andruw beats Wells there also. Jones has won the gold glove every year since 1998.

 

Andruw was the best CF in the game by far. was.

 

Davenport translations have Jones as 3 runs below average for a CF.

 

Wells comes in at -6.

those numbers are headed the wrong way for both players. not a huge factor at Wrigley IMO.

From small sample and only from the eye, I've thought that Tavares is the best defensive CF'er in the game.

 

 

he better be with the corners Houston puts out there in that park and his offensive numbers.

Meaningless speculation from metsblog.com:

 

In the Toronto Star, Dave Perkins points out that OF Vernon Wells is suspiciously missing from all of Toronto’s marketing materials for next season, leaving Perkins to believe the Blue Jays may look to trade Wells “sooner rather than later.”

 

I'm posting it because rumors/news have been slow since the Schmidt debacle.
