... as Colorado's first base coach

Good for him. Glenallen was my favorite Cub for awhile. :)

YAY I will never forget that 8000000000 mile blast he hit a few years back (98..99?)

that was amazing.

That was amazing! I've never seen a blast like that since. It was the second most amazing HR I've ever seen. The first was a Barry Bonds broken bat HR in Miami.

didn't he also do one of those "step out of the box for a time out but the ump didn't grant it so he ran in and slapped a single" deals?

Man, Glenallen was my second favorite behind Sammy. He always gave us that option late in the game of coming off the bench and homering.

And I loved his game face and the way he threw the bat down when he homered. Classic.

He sure did.

Against the Marlins. That was awesome.

Yeah I remember that play too, I just remember it being against the Brewers and it being a double...hmmm I guess I'm losing it.

With my mom being a sweetly corny woman and from Glen Ellen, Glenallen was definitely someone who was a favorite Cub around the house for a while.

Laz Diaz thought he was going to get the best of Hill there. Check out the look on his face when Hill reaches first safely. LOL

Ryan Howard hit a broken bat homerun to dead center field last year. I can't remember where though, but it was double-take worthy.

Is she from Glen Ellyn, IL or Glen Ellen, California?

Illinois. I got them mixed up and thought the Cali one known for the wine was "Ellyn." Whoops.
