Potential upsets right now other than USC:

Oklahoma St is beating Nebraska 27-23 in the fourth quarter.

Miami and Georgia Tech are tied at 16 in the fourth.

Is it really an upset for Ga Tech to lose when Reggie Ball goes up against a talented defense?

man, i hate the big xii... i do a college football picks thing, and i don't even want to know how many points i've lost this year picking games between the mediocre jumble of big xii squads. It's Texas and everyone else.

It's the ACC that has screwed me over this year in my pick em league.

another conference with way too many mediocre teams. NC State? Va Tech? Florida State? Miami? Too many teams that can play really well or really badly.

Clemson, BC, Georgia Tech. The whole conference is bleh. At least the Big XII has Texas.

jeez the defense in this conference friggin SUCKS

Not Cal or UCLA's. And USC and Arizona have pretty solid defenses too.

Oregon State is a bad team that has had a bunch of bounces go their way in the first 3 quarters.

Cal gave up over 500 yards and 35 points to a Tennessee offense that really isn't that good, and around 500 to Washington last week. Their defense isn't that good.

Oh, and I wouldn't have gone for 2 this early, but it worked for USC.

Why not? It's the difference between one score and two scores. If you go for one, you're down 9 and that doesn't help you at all because you need a TD and FG. If you go for two and don't get it, you're still down 10 and still need a TD and FG. If you go for it, you're down 8, a TD and a 2pt conversion.

jeez is this announcer blind? nearly perfect?

He yapped on for well over a minute earlier while the officials were discussing a penalty. He then said "Oh, it looks like there's a flag on the play" right before the head ref announced it.

And figures...

Oklahoma St is now up 34-23 over Nebraska with 7:28 to go.

my hatred for the Big XII grows further

Should've seen that coming, OSU took aTm to OT last week playing at home, and that was mostly without Reid. If the Cowboys hold on, next week's Mizzou-Nebraska game is basically a Big XII North championship game.
