Durant may not go pro .

dream on... don't care what he or his parents are saying, he's going to the nba.

Normally I'm all for guys staying all four years in college. I usually don't like when they go pro early, but for guys like Oden and Durant, they need to go as soon as they are allowed. He has a shot to be the #1 pick, or at worst, the #2 pick. If he stays in college, he could only jeopardize that ala Matt Leinart. Plus, if he gets hurt next year playing college ball, he's out of luck. If he gets hurt playing NBA ball, he'll have his millions to fall back on.

The reason most people go to college is to get a good job. Some guys find a way to do that without graduating by going pro in their sports.

I wonder which one the Celtics will get? The NBA usually has the major market teams get the premi #1 pick unless they happen to be from Ohio.

Yeah like when Orlando got Shaq? Or then the number 1 again the next year?

Yep. How close is LSU to Florida again, I forgot?

Well, that's a conspiracy theory that doesn't seem to make sense-how about Milwaukee or Toronto? They both had number 1 picks lately along with Cleveland as you mentioned.

I have a feeling Boston is going to get the 3rd or 4th pick and miss out on Oden or Durant-statistically, they have the best chance at the #1, and so this will not likely happen, but I just have a feeling this is going to be the case.

Those weren't marquee years though with a huge prize. Like when they missed on Duncan a few years back? That franchise has had some poor luck lately.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping for with the Sixers... NBA should set it up so that the Celtics and Sixers get Oden and Durant, and Memphis gets screwed and falls out of the top 3.

Was either guy a premi 1 pick though? Oden and Durant are and the Celtics will get a top 2 pick if both these guys are available.

Ok-Houston's a pretty big city, but would you call them a huge market? They had a premier player come out to them.

Major draw...it depends. This has to be correctly and not everytime or it's too obvious. Honestly, if those 2 guys are outin the draft the Celtics are getting a top 2 pick. I will be shocked if they don't unless there is a stud at 3 that we don't know about.

I know, but 1% of hope is more than I had yesterday. "So your telling me there's a chance".

That's what we hoped for when Melo was here. He almost did stay too and he cried when he said he was leaving to go pro.

i'm not a huge conspiracy theorist, but the NBA lottery WOULD be a lot cooler if they actually did a live drawing of the ping pong balls instead of doing that in secret and then having david "no personality" stern pull cards out of envelopes

I thought that they actually showed them pulling out the ping pong balls, just not which team was on which ball-I do agree that it would be great to watch all of the representatives anxiously waiting as the ball is pulled out. The only problem I could see is that the team who gets the first pick all their ping pong balls have to be pulled out in order that they don't get picked again, and that would take time that wouldn't be conducive to a live telecast.

Doesn't matter... I just want top two. That way the Sixers get Oden or Durant, both of whom would be really useful. Iguodala has really come on since the Iverson trade and could play the 2 or 3, and Durant can play the 3 or 4. Oden will just be really good, and who gives a crap about Dalembert - they'd find a place for Oden to play. Or just go big and be great defensively and on the boards.

I just don't want the Sixers to draft 3rd and select that Michael Jackson-looking guy.

Raisins buddy from Florida? I think you're stuck with the 3rd so it doesn't look like a fix Memphis or somebody else will be at 1 or 2 with the Celtics.

By the way, the Sixers should come back home to Syracuse where they belong!

so who else is tuned in to the holy cross-navy game going on right now???

haha navy is on pace for about 15 points in the game... 6:51 left in the first half, 25-6

and now during the commercial break, the holy cross color guy is asking the play-by-play guy if he got that extra pair of underwear he needed last night. No commercial breaks on the internet, guys...

yeah, they've taken quite the nosedive since then.

Our center leads Navy 25-22 in the second half

Try last year. They lost to LSU in the first round. That's an amazing drop - from tournament team to worst record in DI.

And they started out like 0-21 or something ridiculous like that.

P.S. Bulls will get Oden with the Knicks pick. :)
