I'll definitely take a 3 point lead considering how disjointed the game has been with all the fouls, and considering we haven't gotten any points from the press. Hopefully in the second half Illinois loses some legs with Randle+Smith not being completely back into condition, and the press will be more effective. Unlikely considering how much rest everyone has had with the foul trouble though.

I think we should be up by a lot more, but I won't complain. Exciting first half.

I wish the referees would let both teams play though.

 

Yeah, there were a lot of tic-tac fouls. At least it's consistent both ways though. Hopefully the refs take it a little easier on the whistle in the second half.

There is absolutely no reason for U of I to be losing with how ineffective the press has been. The defense has been atrocious and just flat out lazy.

 

And Marcus Arnold needs to go to Nick Smith exile. So you're tall Marcus, that's great, what else you bring to the table? Oh the inability to cover anyone, box anyone out or hit a 2 footer?? And you'll average a foul a minute!!! GREAT!
