Even if Aramis was moved for ARod, I think you move ARod back to SS. It's his natural position and he's one of the best that ever played it. Moving him to 3rd for Jeter was one of the dumbest moves of all time.

I think I've read a few articles questioning whether ARod could play SS again because he has bulked up since moving to 3B and might not have the range needed for SS.

I'm thinking most folks are willing to find out.

Rosenthal threw out a half-dozen team names likely interested in the pre-game show, and the Cubs was one of them.

I think the A-Rod saga is actually going to stall the offseason market. If there are numerous teams interested, then clearly those teams are going to be going slowly while they see what happens.

just saw where Arod made another error today in Detroit- Mr. Rodriguez can defintiely bring his shoddy defense to Wrigley as long as he brings his bat- The Yankees are stupid if they trade him-but oh well, one man's trash is another mans treasure-

Not entirely stupid. If he has not been working out for them (post season #'s) it's not entirely stupid to part ways and get some good talent in return. He could go to the Cubs and hit .500 in the post season, or not at all. Sometimes change is neccesary.

You get him back at SS where he belongs and you won't see anything shoddy.

ARod has played his last game as a Yankee, IMO. I hope Hendry has Cashman's phone number.

Agreed regarding ARod - he's done in NY. If I had to guess, I would say he goes to Angels

The Yankees should be keeping ARod and looking to get rid of Randy Johnson, Carl Pavano, Jared Wright and rest of the overpaid, underacheiving starting pitchers that really have cost them over the past couple years. This is an illogical scapegoat situation fueled by the morons at ESPN and Cashman should be too smart to get caught up in it.

They were talking A-Rod on the score tonight.

They kept mentioning that whoever got him would be on the hook

for 25 million, which is not true. Texas is still on the hook for a good chunk

of the $$$.

I wish these idiots on the radio would get their facts straight.

When listening to The Score one shouldn't expect facts to be accurate.

I can't imagine Cashman trading away A-Rod for less than he otherwise would just because the fans are angry at him. If he goes, the Yankees will get a bundle in return.

I totally agree that what they need to do, is sign some free agent starters, but, shhhh, let's keep that on the down low.

LOL, true. Hub actually called Bonds a "Son of a Bitch" tonight.

I wonder if they will ask him not to come back?

I certainly hope so.

When ARod goes, it won't be Cashman's idea.

The Yankees want MLB player(s) for ARod. Not prospects.

If the Cubs wanted to get involved without giving up Zambrano the will have to leverage a 3rd team that has a stud pitcher(s) that are nearing end of a contract whom they believe they can't resign.

Cubs get Arod

Team X gets - Package from Cubs

Yankees get - Players from Team X

Based on history alone I believe he is right. I can't even remember the last time the Yankees traded for a prospect as a centerpiece of a deal. The florida marlins fit the bill for what he is saying.

Cubs get: A-Rod

Marlins get: Pie, Guzman, and Marshall/Mateo

Yankees get: Willis

Exactly. I'd pull that trigger in a second.

I can see the Yankees being very interested in Hill. They're also going to need a RF if they dont bring Sheffield back, so maybe Hill and Jones, and maybe throw in Eyre. I think that might be enough to get them interested. But I definitely think A-Rod will be moved this offseason, there's no way he wants to go back to NY.
