This has been suggested several times and each time I get stuck on the same thing -- I don't want to be held liable for exchanges gone wrong. I know most people are honorable, but I don't want someone who gets screwed over to come looking for me.

Wise non-move.

Let Stub Hub et al. take care of that stuff.

Tim, would it be possible for you to make new users agree to a Terms of Service type thing that says you are not responsible for any bad ticket deals? Kind of like how you always have to click "accept" to all the terms of service when you get a new email or something?

Of course all current users would also have to accept those TOS which i dont think would be a problem.

Then again, thats probably an insane ammount of work on your part.

How binding are those things? Even if one were in place, someone could come after me for damages, anyway. Then I'd still be subjected to lawyer costs and everything else to defend myself.

I know I would come after you with everything I've got ;)

Honestly, I've done about 6-7 ticket exchanges on this site without the help of a ticket forum. It would be nice to have if you could prevent any legal action taken against you, but its not necessary.

So...

What you're saying is, Tim really has nothing to worry about.
