I'd like to extend a TREMENDOUS thank you to DJaxx Broadcaster Ron Potesta for his hard work and effort this season! We all know that the future between the Cubs and DJaxx looks murky, but be aware that we are eternally grateful for all you've done for us. We really hope you'll be around in the offseason to participate in discussions and offer input on a regular basis.

If things work out for the best, we look forward to seeing you around here next season!

Thank you once again Ron!!

And Nate, I'll be sure to extend the same gratitude towards you once Peoria finishes up their playoff run. :D

Anyone going to the Beloit games?

We've been here all weekend, but have to get back to Peoria for work and school so will miss being here for the game Wednesday. Since they'll be in Peoria on Thursday, we'll look forward to Nate on the radio instead. Not sure what the plans are for the off-day in Beloit...probably an exotic excursion to Rockford or Janesville

Just wanted to say thanks to you guys for doing this. There's alot more people that read these game threads than you think, I always check it everyday to glance at what our prospects did. Good Job!

If I were back up at Madison, I'd probably check out at least one or two games!

However, that is not the case. :( The closest MWL teams to me are Fort Wayne and Dayton, both of which are roughly four hours from here.

Lansing is probably closer than that. Mapquest says 3 hours 40 minutes, which means it should take less than 3 and a half.

Correct, but the bottom line is that I'd spend seven hours driving getting there and back instead of eight!

Now, happily, Pittsburgh is just a quick drive from here. Next season I might head to PNC for some Cubs games. :D

All times are CDT.

Beloit will toss RH Yohan Pino (14-2, 1.91) in game 1. His stats are kinda misleading...he only made 7 starts in 42 games this season. That said he was 6-0 in 7 starts with a 2.33 ERA

Game 2 they will toss RH Eddie Morlan (5-5, 2.29)

Game 3 will be Jesse Estrada (7-1, 3.32) against either LH Alex Smit (7-2, 2.99) or RH Zach Ward (8-4) both of whom we hit well this week.

Team will take BP here on the off-day Tuesday and then Jody rented us out the back room of a Beloit Italian restaurant for a nice team dinner Tues night to get ready for the series....

I resigned last week.. If I come back iit will only be as an in-season employee. My family means more to me than the game.. it took a long time to fiigure it out, but I did..

That's good to hear. We'll certainly miss you, you're a hell of a broadcaster.

With all the technical difficulties 101.5 FM had this year, I got to listen to quite a few different SL announcers...and let me say you were the best of the bunch.

I think I heard somewhere that Ceda will start game # 2 and Muldowney will get game # 3 away.

Well, I didn't listen to yesterday's Boise game - mine was based on what I heard a few days ago. But Muldowney and Ceda would be on 4-days rest if they started games 2 and 3 respectively. Muldowney would be on 5-days rest and Ceda 3-days rest if they switched spots.

Best of luck to you Ron in whatever you decide to do. It was always great chatting baseball with you and thanks for the help as well. Keep in touch!
