Moore promoted to Iowa. (Edit- Promoted to Chicago)

I haven't seen this posted anywhere, so Moore apparantly got promoted to Iowa as he is their starting SS today.

whoa shortstop? Has he ever played short? or is it just because Iowa is low on infielders? If he can play short with the offensive numbers he put up that makes him alot more interesting.

The Cubs AREN"T experimenting with him at short.. he's there to add a bat in the lineup to try and get the I-Cubs into post-season.

 

It's sad that the Cubs didn't try to stack our roster in 2005 when we we're in the Southern League post-season.

Maybe they are trying to get Moore prepared to play 3B in the Majors in 07.

I mean, Derek Jeter isn't exactly good glove calber at SS, either (regardless of the overhype the New York media gives the player), and yet all he does his play a solid SS, and produces. If Moore can show he is atleast adequate at SS (in time move over to third, if need be), then he could move up faster.

What about Moore at 2B? His bat would play very well there, and he'd probably be able to handle it better defensively than SS and maybe even 3B.
