whoa shortstop? Has he ever played short? or is it just because Iowa is low on infielders? If he can play short with the offensive numbers he put up that makes him alot more interesting.

I think he was drafted as a SS. The reason why he was moved to 3rd, was because of his errors. His bat was/is there, but there were questions about his ability to play SS. So, the Cubs are restarting the experiment of Moore at SS.

he played one game at short for the Jaxx about four or five days ago.

The Cubs AREN"T experimenting with him at short.. he's there to add a bat in the lineup to try and get the I-Cubs into post-season.

It's sad that the Cubs didn't try to stack our roster in 2005 when we we're in the Southern League post-season.

They must not be happy with the hitting ability of Augie Ojeda. :D

Congrats, Scott.

If he could learn to handly SS, his value as a prospect would skyrocket.

I mean, Derek Jeter isn't exactly good glove calber at SS, either (regardless of the overhype the New York media gives the player), and yet all he does his play a solid SS, and produces. If Moore can show he is atleast adequate at SS (in time move over to third, if need be), then he could move up faster.

Scott Moore to Chicago!

The Chicago Cubs today activated right-handed pitcher Carlos Marmol from the 15-day disabled list. In addition, Chicago has recalled infielder Scott Moore from Triple-A Iowa.

Well, Omaha is a loooong way from Chicago, it may take him weeks to show up.

Congrats to Scott! Looking forward to him getting some playing time in the bigs.

think he'll play some 1b this september?

Yeah I was thinking that, when Lee needs a day off, so we don't have Blanco there.
