It came up and shows time running, but I get nothing (not even static). I thought the problems were supposed to be over when the station installed a new server or something like that. I wonder what they're lame excuse is this time.

On second thought, it's probably better that I don't know. I wouldn't buy it anyway, and it would probably just make me madder.

I think it's time for Ron to follow up on threats from earlier this season and perform deconstructive surgery on the station manager.

Bummer that the internet broadcast didn't work tonight. It's disappointing that WNWS has dropped the ball this year. I thought it was going to be different and that having the Jaxx back on WNWS was going to have a great impact on the Jaxx organization. However, after a refusal to broadcast afternoon games during the week and games late in the year on Friday nights, it's only fitting that the broadcast wasn't working tonight. It's disappointing that Cub fans from around the world have had to spend so much time listening to the broadcasts of the Jaxx opponents rather than getting to listen to Ron.

Ok, rant over.

This afternoon I had the great pleasure of presenting the 2006 Minor League Player of the Year Award to a very worthy recipient. Not only is he a great player on the field, he has been a great person to interact with. The 2006 northsidebaseball.com Player of the Year: Sean Gallagher.

Rather than go with a plaque, the site went with a very unique award. Earlier in the year, you may recall that the Cubs sold bricks from the original bleachers of Wrigley Field. The bricks were initially sold at the Wrigley Field Garage Sale before being offered on cubs.com Each of the bricks were authenticated by MLB.com Sean's brick had the name of the award, his name, the teams he played for in '06 and the date of the award presentation. Sean's father and brother were in attendance, which made for a great moment. A picture of the presentation will be posted in the coming days. Along with the award, Sean will have $100 donated to the charity of his choice in his name. An interview will take place with Sean after the completion of the season. Once the interview has been completed, it will be posted in the Chats forum.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in the 2006 NSBB Player of the Year polls and discussion. Congratulations Sean!

Congratulations to Sean Gallagher on another fine season. Could easily be his for the second year in a row. Last year, I said I wanted to see progression, Sean did that and is now one of the elite pitching prospects in the game, IMO. Next challenge will be getting major league hitters out, which I'm guessing he'll be up to sometime next season.

Congrats, Sean, on a wonderful 2006 season.

I want to apologize on behalf of the flagship station for not getting the internet working. It's very unfortunate that the announcement wasn't able to be heard by you loyal fans.

I am SO GLAD I don't have to deal with this problem anymore after tomorrow.

Congratulations to Sean!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the general discussion and poll -- participation went up a lot from last year, which was the first year NSBB had the award. Thanks to Tim for making this possible!

Congrats to Sean and also the other minor leaguers who had good years and received consideration for the award. Hopefully next year we'll get even more people voting.

Now that would be awesome. Sean really is a good guy and I can honestly say that Sean appreciated getting the award.

The Cubs disagree with us. Hill and Veal have been named the organization's Minor League Players of the Year. Obviously the organization didn't share our viewpoint that Hill pitched too much in the majors to be considered. I have a feeling our outome would have been different if we had considered Hill to be eligible.

I don't have any problem with this, because between the official organizational award and ours more deserving players got recognition.
