Well geez, not to burst the bubble, but Uggla had 21 HR and an .880 OPS in AA last year.

Theriot has had 5 minor league HRs in his 6 year career and had a minor league OPS going into this year at .686

In all fairness, as Tim and others have pointed out, Theriot had a two year attempt at switch hitting that failed miserably and depressed his numbers significantly.

I wonder, what are the chances of Riot being our answer at 2B? Looks like Hill has been pitching very well today, very good to see.

Love what Hill has done thus far, IMO, in 2007, he'll be as good, if not better than his SF counter-part today.

True, I did read about that, but I don't think he is capable of putting up Dan Uggla power. I do believe he can be an asset to a major league team however.

In all fairness to Neifi Perez, he has had an eleven year attempt at switch hitting that failed miserably and depressed his numbers significantly.

Let The Riot play out the rest of the year, see what he can do. He may be the next Uggla, he may not be. You'll only find out if you let him play.

OK, so maybe Uggla was a poor example. The Riot has shown an ability to get on base though as evidenced by his +.400 obp this year. Not saying that keep up but who knows, let the kid play.

Heh, I don't think switch hitting is the problem there....:)

Looking at Gameday, I just realized that there have been only TWO balls batted to the right side by the Giants today, and neither very far from CF....

Man, what a great feeling it is to see the kids play good. Here's hoping we have something in Theriot, Guzman, and Hill.

Seconded only if you include Murton
