Well, in defense, the only time there was a person Dusty probably should have played there was the short amount of time when Restovich was up. Other then that, who were you going to put out there for most of the season?

This is a big problem with Dusty's "everybody gets a clean slate with me" and his "I have to see it myself" philosophy. Jones proved for a long time he couldn't hit lefties. But Dusty wouldn't do anything about it until Jones failed to hit lefties while playing for Dusty.

I think Dusty has had a very hard time sitting african american players this season. I do not think he is a racist, but I do have the comment that he made about black players being better in heat supporting my statement. That, and the fact that Jones, Pierre, and Bynum have been allowed to ruin the season with early struggles or win a starting job out-of-position over an 8-game slump by a young player.

 

Its nice to see that he has finally put the team's interests ahead of his favorites a few times. Thanks, Dusty. I felt in my gut that you would eventually do what any manager worth a second glance can do: Play the best players and bench those who are struggling.

 

I don't like Dusty.
