chopper to cedeno at ss, who stupidly threw home to try and get burrell. throw hit burrell in the back and rolled away, allowing roward to score. only one run should have scored that inning.

 

perfect example of letting the other team have the big inning...made even worse because lieber was on deck. just let them have their one run, let hill take care of lieber, and be done with the inning.

i would think that some would have to be unearned. if cedeno had thrown to 1st on the chopper, rollins would have never hit.

Any runs scored after what should have been the 3rd out are unearned, at least that's my understanding. The box score and announcers agree that all four runs are unearned. The Utley HR is an earned run. Time to lift Hill as he is at 101 pitches.
