That transition was so perfect it's as if the softball game was airing on tape delay and they timed it out to end at 1:29.

The cross that bounced off of the top of Rogers head was fun to watch. This lineup would get smoked against Spain's 2nd team.

Spending my entire life as a striker I can't fathom how you don't even get a shot on goal there. Dempsey was trailing way to far back and not across on the right. If he gets a shot on goal Dempsey is standing there to poach the rebound.

Dempsey is really good and Bradley is pretty good too. Neither would make that squad.

If Bradley wanted to look at different combos, why not do that in the 2nd half and let the starters play the 1st? I don't get that at all.

Mexico is just shredding El Salvador apart. They are very very quick.

Looks like Costa Rica-Mexico will easily be the best match of the first round.

 

The drop off in quality between the top 3-4 CONCACAF teams and the rest makes me relieved they stuck with the hex qualifying again this year.

It needs to be a win, but it doesn't have to be a beat down. 1-0 would be fine. Canada is disciplined and athletically can hang. Frankly I don't expect the fireworks like what Mexico just put up, but we can win this thing Italian style very easily.
