I'm bummed that Blackpool got dropped, they started off the season so strong. They were a fun team to watch this season. QPR should be a good addition to the EPL.

When they went up 2-1 I couldn't believe it, but that own goal...guh. Feel gutted for that guy.

Also feel bad for the Tangerine who had the chance within 30 seconds and put his shot like 7 yards wide.

I hope Blackpool bounce back up next year. If they can/did invest their tv money wisely, they should be in contention next year. They did reach the Prem surprisingly last year, but hopefully a year of experience with the some of the world's best can serve them well. Their manager is awesome too.

are the home/road splits always so dramatic in the EPL? man u was 18-0-1 at old trafford (+37 GD) versus 5-4-10 away (+4 GD). liverpool was 12-3-4 at anfield and 5-11-3 away. even the relegated teams were tough to beat at home.

Uh, this is a joke, right?

GOALKEEPERS-Tim Howard, Nick Rimando, Marcus Hahnemann

DEFENDERS- Jonathan Spector, Carlos Bocanegra, Steve Cherundolo, Oguchi Onyewu, Eric Lichaj, Tim Ream, Jonathan Bornstein, Clarence Goodson,

MIDFIELDERS- Michael Bradley, Maurice Edu, Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan, Sacha Kljestan, Robbie Rogers, Freddy Adu, Benny Feilhaber, Jermaine Jones

FORWARDS- Juan Agudelo, Chris Wondolowski, Jozy Altidore

Wondolowski? FREDDY ADU? Robbie Rogers?

NO TIM CHANDLER? No Bedoya? No Bunbury?

Wtf, Bob?

Ok, I'm a little mad about this.

First off, I can't help but be paranoid that Chandler/Nurnberg holding Chandler out is them hedging their bets on a Germany call up. The friendlies don't cap tie him, the Gold Cup does.

Secondly, Chris Wondolowski blows. Jozy doesn't play. Teal Bunbury and Charlie Davies a) do not blow and b) play.

Freddy Adu? Screw him. Robbie Rogers? No. Ale Bedoya is lighting it up in Sweden. Rogers underwhelms in MLS.

At first I was thinking this must be for some random friendly as this can't be for the Gold Cup. I really want to see Bradley's response for this.

Supposedly the story with Chandler is that this was his first full top flight season and he was worn down and requested off the roster. I kinda buy it.

Rogers completely sucks. I don't like Bedoya at all, but Rogers is truly useless at this level. I like the Adu inclusion as he's played well for Rizespor and it's good to keep him in the setup as a guy you can toss on if you need offense.

Wondo over Teal I hate. I get the Davies omission as he picked up an injury recently, but Wondo isn't any damn good.

We're going to see Clint pushed up...a lot.

If we were going to take one of the Nordic-based players, I would have preferred Mix. Bedoya just doesn't do it for me.

What do you see there that I don't? Genuinely curious, as I can only recall him being decent in the 2nd half against Holland.

EDIT: There's some folks saying that Chandler's club pressured him to decline the callup.

I don't know if I see anything more than you, I just have no interest in Robbie Rogers. Plus, he's been on great form for his club.'

I miss Holden.

Oh, Rogers suuuuuuuuuuuucks. I cannot stand watching him play. A waste of talent. I can think of like 4 MLS wingers I'd rather see than him, and I'd even say Convey should be there, too. Bradley hates Convey, though.

Hopefully Holden works a competition in around his next injury. I hope he's not the next John O'Brien.

F YEAH, CHUCK BLAZER!

http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/federation/bodies/media/newsid=1440701.html

On 24 May 2011, FIFA Executive Committee member and CONCACAF General Secretary Chuck Blazer reported to FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke possible violations of the FIFA Code of Ethics allegedly committed by officials.

In particular, the report referred to a special meeting of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), apparently organised jointly by FIFA Vice-President Jack A. Warner and FIFA Executive Committee member Mohamed bin Hammam, which took place on 10 and 11 May 2011. This meeting was linked to the upcoming FIFA presidential election.

In view of the facts alleged in this report, which include bribery allegations, FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke, in compliance with art. 16 of the FIFA Code of Ethics, yesterday requested the FIFA Ethics Committee to open ethics proceedings.

Subsequently, the FIFA Ethics Committee today, 25 May 2011, opened a procedure against the following officials:

- FIFA Vice-President Jack A. Warner

- FIFA Executive Committee member Mohamed bin Hammam

- CFU official Debbie Minguell

- CFU official Jason Sylvester

The aforementioned officials have been invited to take position by 27 May 2011 and to attend a hearing by the FIFA Ethics Committee at the Home of FIFA (Zurich) on 29 May 2011.

Based on art. 87.1 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code and art. 17.2 of the FIFA Code of Ethics, the chairman of the FIFA Ethics Committee, Claudio Sulser, has declined to participate in this FIFA Ethics Committee meeting due to the Swiss nationality he shares with Joseph S. Blatter, a candidate for the upcoming FIFA presidency. The meeting will therefore be chaired by the deputy chairman of the FIFA Ethics Committee, Petrus Damaseb (Namibia).

No additional comments will be made by FIFA until further notice.

Go get 'em, fat man!

Bin Hamman withdrew from the FIFA presidency election

I think I am getting to the point to where FIFA can be destroyed and a new organiztion should be formed.
