So our senior, full team has played a total of 2 decent games since South Africa?

I'm getting pretty sick of this team routinely starting slow and having to dig themselves out of holes. It happened in the World Cup qualifying, it happened in all four games at the World Cup and now it happened against [expletive] Panama.

 

If it was just occasional random games against CONCACAF teams, that would be one thing. But they allowed two goals in the first five minutes of the World Cup games and three in the first 13. It could have been worse also had Algeria not hit the bar early in that game.

The only positive is that if they can get it together, they still have a fairly easy road to the final.

 

Mexico and Costa Rica have basically locked up the 1 and 2 spots in Group A so they'll be in the top half of the bracket (unless CR completely craps the bed against Mexico and and El Salvador annihilates Cuba).

 

So that means as long as they win, they'll get either Jamaica, Honduras (second place) or a third place team from A or B (third place) followed by one of those teams or Canada/Panama.

 

Hopefully this game ends up being a good wakeup call.

I'm not so sure they will. They've been so slow in the attack...unless they collectively flip some switch, I see a tense game.
