I only got to watch the first half, and granted it's against Toronto, but Vancouver looks solid. They play good soccer, especially on the counter.

NYRB can't possess the ball with Marquez no longer in the MF but the trio of Henry, Agudelo and Richards create so many chances for through balls it almost doesn't matter.

Ohmygod love Brek Shea at CB and this game is only in the 5th minute

EDIT: of course after I post this, he tries some kind of spin move, gets dispossessed and is only bailed out by the fact that Chicago are terrible.

Glorious night for American strikers. Dempsey sets American EPL record, Agudelo and now Charlie just bagged #2. [expletive] right.

Davies is going to run riot in the league. Even with the complete lack of 1st team ball for almost 18 months, he's probably the best striker in the league.

EDIT: Portland getting worked like a cheap date. 3-0 in the 31st

Jason Kreis step your game up. There's a new best-dressed coach in the league. Ben Olsen comes correct.

If you guys can't tell, I love this damn league. After I went to a game live in Seattle, Europe lost all it's mystique. We have a real product here.

Brek Shea just got a criminally horrible red.

Still excited about it, but watching him tonight, he's very much raw when it comes to playing CB. I hope Schellas has the patience to stick with him while he learns how to read the game from that position.

MLS is going to have to be the single biggest factor in our national team's development. So far, every game today has been pretty damn good. Not a ton of hack defending so far, and the crowds in every game have been good to excellent. It's been exciting to watch the league take its steps so far.

Even FCD has a good crowd tonight.

So as I'm watching the second half of the DC game, the color guy on the broadcast keeps annoying me. Who was this obnoxious broadcaster with his Bill Waltonesque, excitable, overly dramatic and sometimes stupid analysis who didn't know when to shut up?

Thomas Rongen.

Rongen. Permanently on my ish list.

FCD is better than Chicago even 10 v 11. Chicago and Columbus also need to get new jersey sponsors. The kits just look weird with a big blank space.

Good news on Holden as nothing is broken. Bad news is he has been dropped from the next two friendlies due to needing 26 stitches in his knee. That had to hurt like hell.

Yeah, that sucks. But it's much better than the alternative. I'm very glad to hear that he's going to be okay.

Word on the street is that he's got some ligament damage.

Sucks for Stu. The de Jong tackle was around this time last year, too.

That's a huge loss for the Gold Cup. We'll miss his two way play v Mexico.

Fulham play ManU in a couple of weeks, maybe we can get someone to take out Hernandez for 6 months on a similar tackle.

Hopefully Salcido and Hernandez collide and amputate each other's right leg.
