So Teal Bunbury might have dislocated his elbow which could sideline him for a few months including the Gold Cup. They train about 10 minutes from my office, I should go stalk and see what happened.

Clint drew an injury time PK vs. Chelsea but then had the penalty saved by Cech and Fulham had to settle for a draw. Not a good penalty at all.

That's an understatement.

The way he drew the PK was excellent, but that was simply a lousy attempt.

I know less than nothing about soccer, but Teal Bunbury is an awesome name. Before I just looked him up, I would've sworn that was a British name.

Tottenham isn't getting the breaks today. Nesta handled the ball in the second minute in the box but no penalty was given and Flamini just had a two footed, studs up tackle but got away with a yellow.

LOL. Gattuso already out of the second leg due to yellow cards and then he tries to start a fight after the match. What an angry, angry man.

I'm pretty sure he got into arguments with half of the Spurs players during the match and at least one assistant coach.

Peter Crouch is one lanky mother f'er. I think I had bigger thighs when I was 13.

I really hate Gattuso, I wish de Jong would jumpkick his ass.

Only out 2-4 weeks, which is good. He looks primed to have a good year for SporkC.

Arsenal with a fantastic comebacktoday

It's hilarious because he claims the reason he got mad is because the Tottenham coach was trash talking him during the match. But Gattuso didn't shut his mouth the entire game and nobody on Tottenham flipped out like he did.

As for Arsenal, great comeback today. It actually gives them a chance in the tie, though I think Barcelona wins by two or three in the Nou Camp in a couple weeks. But if they play well and things go right, they could easily advance.

They can't let Messi put up 4 goals again. :-)

This is funny, Cesc's tweet for Wilshire after the match

“can't believe i [sic] had to go to get Messi's shirt for u. U were so scared. You were MOTM so next time please ask urself!”

Pretty good interview with Cantona

http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/news/_/id/6134877/eric-cantona-sits-david-hirshey-talk-cosmos-all-things-footballe

DH: But the action you're most famous for is jumping into the stands and kicking a fan who called you names. If the words mean nothing …

EC: I never said I was an example. I don't want to be a role model. I don't think I'm more important than somebody trying to insult me. I'm a human being. He's a human being. We're equals and if I want to kick another human being, I do it. Who is wrong? Me for acting like a man or the press for making me into a superior person who comes from another planet?

DH: Zidane has since said that he's sorry for his cheap shot. Do you have any regrets about what you did at Selhurst Park?

EC: Yes, I regret not kicking him harder. We are not all saints. I know there are some players who take their image very seriously.

Pretty tough stretch for Arsenal coming up, made even harder because of the tie today.

Feb. 23 vs. Stoke

Feb. 27 vs. Birmingham (Carling Cup final)

Mar. 2 vs. Leyton Orient (FA Cup replay)

Mar. 5 vs. Sunderland

Mar. 8 at Barcelona

Mar. 12/13 at Man U (FA Cup if advance)

Could have been worse if Arsenal didn't make the Carling Cup final because they would have faced Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Feb. 26 instead.

US and El Salvador are tied 1-1 in the 70th minute for a spot in the U-17 World Cup. US has outshot them 11-3, but it sounds like El Salvador's forwards are giving them some problems.

3-1 US now in extra time. Both teams are now down to 10 men. Acutally the US is down 9 men vs. 10 and its 3-2 now into injury time.

Wolf what all do you know about Alejandro Guido? Sounds like he could have some promise.

So Arsenal will have to win their 1st trophy in 5 years without Walcott and probably Cesc.

Its funny that the Barca President is pissy about Arsenal signing Jon Toral from them on a free transfer.

Just have to say Up the Villa! Looking to get back into the top 8 hunt over the next few matches. A win against Blackburn would start it off nicely. 1-6 is out of reach for AVFC, but after that it's a toss-up.

How about a 2014 World Cup in the US.

A report from the Brazilian government says the country is facing serious hurdles to upgrading its airports, infrastructure and stadiums before the 2014 World Cup.

The Brazilian Audit Court has blasted officials for missing deadlines, not controlling costs and for a lack of transparency in their work.

Calls and e-mails to Brazil's World Cup organizing committee were not returned.

The report, published by the government watchdog this week, underscores that 2011 is a key year to start major projects so they can be completed before the World Cup. But it finds widespread problems in most of the 12 host cities.

It states Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro may not be renovated in time.

The bidding for that would be interesting. It'd be us v England and Spain.

By bidding, you mean how much we pay Blatter? England would be tough to beat but I think we would have the best chance of pulling everything off in a 2 year time frame.
