You know who was a waste of money? Dimitar Berbatov.

He just doesn't seem to aggressively go after the ball like a lot of strikers do and he misses a ton of very good chances.

So let me get this straight ... Liverpool fans hate Man U so much that they would rather Man U not win than Liverpool win?

Put it this way if on the last day of the season the Cubs had nothing to play for, but a win would help keep the Cards from winning the division would you be upset if the Cubs lost. I was not rooting for a loss, but I am not upset by it either.

anyone see the Lazio fans cheering on Inter Milan against their own team today?

But Liverpool does have something to play off ... qualifying for the Europa League

Deuce 1, West Ham 0

Is it my imagination, or was Dempsey doing the Soriano "you don't see me" motion after the goal?

Pretty much, except all I could see was the big ass bandage on his hand. Still Deuce is the man!

Man City-Tottenham on ESPN2 tomorrow. If Tottenham wins, they'll wrap up the fourth CL spot and a draw keeps them a point up with only Burnley on the schedule.

It would be a shame if Tottenham doesn't get a point out of this, because they deserve it. They've controlled the second half and have had a number of good chances that they could and probably should have scored on.

Nice to see them make it through.

Chamakh is heading to Arsenal in the worst kept secert of this half of the season. They need some depth up front incase its too windy and van Persie gets injured again next season, now need to shore up another 2 defenders, and a true #1 keeper.

This Hamid dude for DC United has made a couple wicked saves tonight.

a guy i know had this as his facebook status today:

Dear United States - You still do not understand or respect the game of soccer (football). Until you do, I refuse to support your programs. - Sincerely, an Azzurri fan

apparently respecting the game of soccer means going down like a gunshot victim every time a defender breathes on you.

Pretty much, although Real Madrid are a close 2nd.

Gotta wonder if you'd be saying this about Man City if they had won today...

But Citeh have always been, and will always be crap. It would take a decade of ridiculous behavior to even approach Real's level of ugh.

Montreal getting an MLS team. The league is determined to water itself down.

One team in MLS isn't going to hurt much and if Montreal is at all close to the success Toronto has then its worth it. I like the cities they are going into with Portland, Vancouver, and Montreal too.

Are you kidding me? Montreal moving to MLS is an excellent thing, as is Portland coming in.

I'm real excited about Portland, they could easily have the best fan base of any city.

MLS needs those local rivalries. In 4 years you are going to have Philly/DC/RBNY/NER and TOR/CBUS/MTL and Portland/SSFC/Vancouver.

That's how you generate intense interest. MLS is building the right way, as opposed to just dumping teams in random spots like Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix and St Louis.
