What an ending in Arsenal-Liverpool.

Feilhaber to MLS according to his agent. Now it's time to sit back and watch the league try to maneuver him into the loving embrace of the Galaxy somehow. Right now Chivas and Philly have top 2 allocation spots.

Seattle should make a move. He'd be what the Doctor ordered.

I think he's going to end up with the Revs, which is about the most depressing place to play in the league.

Too bad, as Chivas, Philly or Seattle could really use him. Benny in front of Alonso in Qwest? Damn...

An interesting EPL/FA Cup scenario which ties in to Europe.

The FA Cup winner gets an auto-bid to the Europa League. If the FA Cup winner qualifies for a Champions League spot through the EPL, the FA Cup runner-up goes to the Europa League. But if the FA Cup winner finishes fifth and qualifies for the Europa League through the EPL, the sixth place team goes to the Europa League while the FA Cup runner-up gets left home.

Man City faces Stoke for the FA Cup on May 14. Those two teams were scheduled to meet in the EPL that day so that game was moved to May 17. Tottenham (5th) and Liverpool (6th) are scheduled to meet on May 15, the day after the FA Cup final.

If City wins the FA Cup, it would make sense for Stoke to tank the EPL game against City to help City get into the Champions League and therefore to get Stoke into the Europa League. But at the same time, it would make sense for Liverpool to tank its game against Tottenham to try to help Tottenham get to the Champions League which would drop City to fifth and then get Liverpool into the Europa League. Liverpool is four points back of Tottenham and has played two more games so it's unlikely they'll move up to fifth.

Obviously if Stoke wins, none of this matters.

Defense optional at White Hart Lane today. 2-1 Arsenal after only 12 minutes.

The 2nd half was everything one could expect from an MLS side away in Mexico...getting worked most of the time, having a player grabbed by the throat with only a yellow called, having your captain pick up a weak yellow to rule him out of the 2nd leg...

And the Javi Morales scores an 88th minute equalizer way against the run of play.

2-2 right now. RSL looking gooood

Last night's results shifted expectations from hoping RSL could pull it out to being extremely disappointed if RSL can't win it in the second leg next week. No excuses now.

I can't wait for the Barcelona press to make fun of SL for being "Real" when they play Barca in the FCWC Final. Maybe Madrid will finally make good on their agreement to send RSL some money and marketing love if they beat them.

Agudelo with a dirty, vintage-Henryesque goal in the 90+ minute of NY's 4-0 drubbing in DC tonight.

Nasty, gorgeous piece of business.

-Joel Lindpere is a really good player.

-Despite DCU getting worked like the stripper at the bachelor party, I rate Perry Kitchen quite highly

-Chuck D played poorly

Good god, Steve Zakuani just suffered one of the gnarliest leg breaks ive ever seen in one of the worst tackles I've ever seen. Holy crap that's bad. This was worse than the Eduardo-Arsenal tackle a few years back.

Ban Bryan Mullan.

Lets see if Wenger has the balls to partially blow up this team. At this point I would sell Csec assuming he can still fetch close to what he was worth last offseason.

Sell Cesc, buy defenders and keeper. And maybe a D-mid.

It's not hard, Arsene.

I think I would look into Subotic now as a longterm anchor since Wenger loves to buy young. At keeper there are about 50 options that are better than what you have not, draw a name out of a hat for all I care. You signed Jens [expletive] Lehman midseason, if you can't figure out there is a problem its going to be scary going forward.

Were there any numbers thrown around last offseason for a transfer fee?

Cesc was absolutely useless this year, though, so whatever it was, cut it in half, and that's even assuming Barca will want him.

I think last year was over 30 million. This year who knows.
