I'm pretty sure Sir Alex was drunk when he picked his shooters.

Vidic and Ferdinand? Really? When you have Tevez and Scholes on the pitch? Also, great PK by Berbatov. I'm not sure if he put his cigarette down prior to shooting.

Oh well. That's what you get when you leave your best 2 players at home. Good for Timmah.

Man U didn't really seem to care all that much about that match. I know you've got a ton of matches coming up with the EPL and CL, but the only first-team players they started were Vidic and Ferdinand. Park could be considered a first-teamer also and I know Tevez is good enough to be a first-teamer but Rooney and Berbatov are the top choices.

I just figured Ferguson would take the match a little more seriously than he seemed to and play a few more of the regulars with the option to bring a couple others on late if you needed to. And it showed since it wasn't a very entertaining match.

I think maybe Wenger should have started Arshavin against Chelsea.

Yea, he just scored his 4th today...

holy #$%*, I need to watch this match. A 2nd 4-4 draw for Liverpool. ManU will have to choke away the trophy now.

He better vs. ManU in the semi's of the CL.

He can't because he's already cup-tied from playing with Zenit in the group stage.

I forgot, damnit.

After the game yesterday, Yossi better stay in the starting XI the rest of the season. He has been brilliant lately, and is much more of a scoring threat then Reira or Kuyt on the wings.

When is Ryan Babel getting sold or played?

I think him and Dossena are gone this summer. Babel has complained quite a bit about lack of playing time and Rafa does not seem to like him all that much so I would assume that those 2 are gone and they look at bringing in a left winger and maybe Barry. They have been rumors that they are going to go after Santa Cruz as well this summer.

Ryan Babel is overrated anyway.

"It was really awesome being back out there playing again," Feilhaber told Soccer365 on Monday night. "I didnt feel any problems with the knee and felt my fitness started coming slowly as the game went on. I was just happy to be out there helping my team and playing football again."

Another notable aspect of the game was the 24-year old's tactical positioning right behind the lone striker - not unlike the role an attacking midfielder such as Francesco Totti formerly played at AS Roma.

There were a few early struggles, but Feilhaber battled through them to produce a solid outing. Emblematic of this perseverance was a terrific hustle play that was needed after he'd turned the ball over in the AGF end; the midfielder hurriedly chased down his mistake all the way to the six-yard box, where he eventually produced a goal-saving block.

"The new position was interesting, but I got more accustomed to it as the game went on," said Feilhaber. "Its not too different from playing as an offensive midfielder, and I felt in the second half I was really being able to do the things I'm good at."

If Benny's back, Edu is playing at Rangers, Sacha gets his groove back, Torres continues to feature for Pachuca, Clint continues to be indispensable and unbenchable, Mastro pulls a Hejduk, Bradley is unbenchable and no one gets hurt we are all of a sudden very deep in the middle. Unfortunately none of them are true wingers.

Klinsmann is stepping down at Bayern.

Source? It's not on Bayern's site or Soccernet.

haha, I clicked on the link on soccernet about the NFL stadiums being the main target for the WC in 2018 or 22, and in that it had the link for Klinsmann. Of course I didn't realize see it was from 2006, and thats why they didn't mention much of anything. Strange that was attached to a new article.

This is what I get for screwing around at work today.

Benny would need a really, really good showing at the Gold Cup to get back on Bradley's radar.

That said, we're over 12 months away from SA. Who knows who's going to be hurt/in form/whatever by then.

Well then I happen upon this at Du Nord this morning:

The rumor floating around Germany & Italy today is that Bayern Munich are lining up former Inter manager Roberto Mancini to take over from Juergen Klinsmann.

ManU trying to let Liverpool back in the title race. Down 2-0 to Tottenham at Old Trafford. A loss would have Liverpool ahead on goal differential with ManU having a game in hand.

So much for that. Four goals in 14 minutes for Man U.
