Uhh, Harvey has definitely changed his approach at this point. The announcers are talking about how's he's taking pitches now that he would have flailed away at earlier in the season...anyways he grounds out 6-3 this time on a 7-pitch AB (an AB in which Harvey fell behind 0-2 and battled back to a full count).

Restovich is 3 for 3 with another triple

Pie is now 1 for 3 with his triple

Ryu with only 2 hits given up thru 3, no walks and 5 K's

EDIT: And apparently old pal Eric Young is down at Oklahoma, as he got tossed by the home plate umpire in the first.

Diamond Jaxx get a walk-off homer by Scott Moore to win 6-5. They are within five of Tennessee with fifteen games left. The Smokies begin a ten game road-trip tomorrow in the booming metropolis of Zebulon..

Maybe I can jinx them the same as I jinxed the Jaxx when they were in Zebulon. :D

Jake Renshaw gave up 3 ER in 4.1, but 2 of those came in the 5th. Not bad considering he gave up 2 hits in the 5th and then left (one of those hits being an IF hit) and Blevins let those 2 inherited runners scores. Strikeout numbers are down big time in 2 starts at Boise.

The Iowa Cubs did what no team has been able to do in quite some time, rack an Oklahoma starter. Those guys have been pitching lights out since the beginning of the month.

Des Moines Register[/url]"]Corey's brother Eric Patterson homers for I-Cubs

RANDY PETERSON

Eric Patterson, the younger brother of former Chicago Cubs center

fielder Corey Patterson, homered in his first triple-A at-bat tonight

against Oklahoma at Principal Park.

Selected in the eighth round of the 2004 draft, the younger Patterson

started the season at double-A West Tenn, where he had a .263 batting average and eight homers. He joined the Iowa Cubs two hours before Saturday night’s game.

Corey Patterson played in the Chicago Cubs’ organization between 2000 and ”05, and for Iowa while on his way to the major leagues in 2001. They are the first brothers to play for Iowa since Rick and Bill Wrona in 1990.
