Unfounded allegations and accusations are so awesome!

If MLB had real testing I wouldn't have wrote that. Wait, some guy in Brazil just tested positive and will be suspended for 50 games.

The raid involving Grimsley opened everybody's eyes to the fact that pitchers likely take roids/HGH just as much as position players do. So it's not out of the realm of possibility that Prior did take steriods, growth hormone, or something along those lines. Fact is, we just don't know.

I also wrote that it's possible. He's from an area that the usage was rapid so it was there for him to try.

I love it when MLB nails those retired pitchers.

It's worth noting that this was posted back in March.

CardsFanInChiTown[/url]"]Will Carroll on BP today...

The Cubs may think I’m psychic, but if I could predict injuries, the THRs would be more accurate than they currently are. What I do is listen to the right sources and pass that info along. That said, the Cubs aren’t lying when they say that Mark Prior hadn’t reported pain and that this is a new injury. Prior hadn’t reported pain; he had reported continued soreness and tightness, part of the reason he was being treated gingerly. When the subscapularis muscle finally gave way, it was new. Prior has a grade two tear of the muscle, one of the four muscles of the rotator cuff and the one that's most involved in internal rotation. After seven to ten days of rest, Prior will start in on an aggressive rotator cuff and shoulder-strengthening program, then get back into his throwing program. He’ll likely start the season on the DL, though the Cubs don’t need a fifth starter until later in April. Prior’s mechanics likely kept him together this long, but overuse is both cumulative and insidious. The only real comp for this injury is Jose Contreras, who missed much of the season in 2003 with a similar--but not identical--problem. It wouldn’t surprise me if Prior needs surgery in the medium-term to clear some of the scar tissue that has built up in the muscle.

The article can be found here.

edit - He also includes this link to help explain Prior's injury.

The 1060 West blog also discussed the ramifications when the injury was diagnosed this past spring.

It's official. Prior is back on the DL.

Cubs pitcher Mark Prior was put on the disabled list with tendinitis in his right shoulder, the team announced Saturday.

Prior is expected to miss at least three weeks. It's possible his eighth career trip to the DL could mean the end of his season.

Does his arm have 9 lives?

doesn't house encourage his students to use andro or other near steroids?

I wonder if we could get him back in time to do some setup work in late September in case we get withing 10 games of the playoffs??

Is Mark Prior my grandfather? No, wait, my near-90 grandfather has less health issues...

I used to scoff at the steroid idea, but really, how does a pitcher with "perfect mechanics" break down so totally and completely over the freakin' off-season?!?

Because Joe Mauer was selected by the Twins. Does anyone really think that if Prior would havebeen picked first now Minnesota would have the best rotation ever with a healthy '03 Prior, Santana, Liriano, Graza, and whoever they feel like running out there. All the while Joe would be hitting around .150 for our Daytona team while trying to adjust to the cuns coaching strategy of never, ever taking a walk.

I don't really understand what you're trying to say here. Please clarify.
