Did you know:

Pagan is hitting .300/.363/.483/.846 since he returned from injury. (66 PA's)

EDIT: It also looks like he could benefit from abondoning the right side of the plate.

Woah. CARLOS BELTRAN Jr.!!!

Pat and Ron were just raving over a play made by Izturis..was it really anything to get excited about?

It didn't look spectacular, he just moved quickly towards the second base bag to make the play. Showed some range, I guess.

yay, Murton!

Prior had nothing left in the 6th. Why the hell didn't Dusty pull him when he walked the bases loaded?

He hadn't hit 100 pitches yet? Who knows...

So Dusty takes out a lefty, Ohman, and brings in a different lefty, Eyre, to face the left-handed hitting Duffy. And then takes him out after getting Duffy to bunt out.

Why not just leave in Ohman? Why potentially waste Eyre on one batter when Ohman only faced one batter the inning before?

Did Eyre get hurt or something?

Well, we decided to pinch-hit for Ohman the previous inning-that's why he was taken out.

Plus, if you support the idea of Ohman as a LOOGY then Dusty used him correctly.

Oops. Thanks. Sorry.

I'm trying to follow along on Gameday today, and its really slow. It stops for several minutes and then jumps ahead. If you don't go back to read what happened, you wind up asking stupid questions like that one...

No problem..I certainly know how Gameday can be..yesterday I was happy when the Pirates had gotten a third out, and then Gameday changed its mind and the Pirates went on to score 2 or 3 runs. So it can be easily confusing sometimes.

Yeah, it just went back and showed Eyre facing Nate McLouth and giving up a HR to him. Before, it had him exiting after only facing Duffy. Strange.
