If Ceda has joined the team, he's due for a start, too.

If Guzman is starting today, I wonder who will start for the Cubs tomorrow. It can't be Rusch, since he pitched in relief Monday night.

Juan Mateo. According to Dusty, Angel can't fly from McCarran to O'Hare and still be able to pitch.

It's time to really watch Pie. It seems he's heating up a bit lately. I think its very important for him to be strong until the rest of the year. The stronger he is, the less likely it is that Hendry resigns Pierre.

Ah. I'm sure he could have if the Cubs had the foresight to have him fly out yesterday. But that would have meant thinking ahead a day or two, which is too much to expect from the Cubs.

I don't mind giving Mateo a chance, though. I just didn't think of him since it was stated when he came up that he'd pitch in relief.

Well, that was more a shot at Dusty on my part. Angel flew into Des Moines from Vegas and is pitching tonight in Iowa. I don't see why he couldn't have flown to Chicago for a game tomorrow. It's not like he's going to flap his arms and fly out there on his own, risking another forearm injury or something.

Tacoma and Iowa are scoreless in the bottom of the first. Felix Pie just led off the bottom of the first with a single to RF.

Tennessee gets to Mathes for 1 ER on 1 hit in the top of the first. West Tenn is coming up to bat, down 1-0.

Holliman has given up 8 hits through 4, but just 1 ER. Daytona leads it 2-1 in the bottom of the 5th.

Peoria and Cedar Rapids are scoreless after 1.

Oh great. Guzman was removed after just 1 inning. Wilton Chavez came on in relief. :x

Tacoma just switched pitchers too....both pitchers going out this early with no apparent problems is rather odd.

Iowa up 3-0 in the bottom of the 3rd. Here in the 3rd, Montanez doubles and then Fontenot gets an RBI double and then Restovich singled in Fontenot.

West Tenn is down 2-1 in the top of the 4th. The Jaxx scored their run in the bottom of the 1st on a Chris Walker leadoff triple and an EPatt RBI single.

Daytona down 4-2 after 6. Holliman wore down in the 6th and couldn't get out of the inning.

Peoria is up 2-0 after 3. Chirinos with a double and a triple.
