the deadline is still the 31st. I have never been thrilled with the waivers process but I think we will stick with it for this year.

I don't even remember how the waiver process works.

briefly, players can be traded after they clear waivers. when placed on waivers, other teams have up to three days to make a claim (by either IMing or emailing me). If you claim a player, they must be a keeper for next year. waivers are revocable.

I've had a real hard time finding good matches since earlier in the year. The offers I've made have been rejected and the ones I've been offered haven't worked for me. I'd love to grab one more solid pitcher, but I'm not willing to give up the farm for one.

 

I'd also love to trade one of my extra OF's, but I haven't found much of a market.

well, you can't have five aces, i guess. your starting pitching is certainly better than mine, regardless of who your #5 is.

Pitching is how I'm going to have to win, though. On offense, I'm stuck at several positions with good players instead of great ones. It's hard to upgrade, but Estrada, Weeks, Hall & whatever two guys I put in the OF after Abreu & Dunn aren't difference makers.

Heck, I don't know really. I'd really like a high scoring OF. Holliday is exempt for the final time, and I can take on some points.

are we sure he's exempt? his cbs profile shows him w/ the big league team in 2003, though he didn't bat. did he get called up and not play?
