What did Aram (not) do? And what did the announcers say?

 

Didn't hustle on the Jones double and did not try to score even though the third base coach was waiving him in.

 

The Mets announcers said that kind of effort will really alienate his teamates since it indicates that he is just coasting through the rest of the season.

Maddux is so done... Get him out of here and sign him to a one day contact when he wants to retire... The guy has nothing to offer anymore but advice to the younger guys... Trade him to the dodgers for Izturis... Or make the 3 way deal and send Izturis to the orioles so we get Tejada

Ronny is an idiot.. another mistake... Shouldve tagged the base himself and thrown out floyd...for the double play.. go back to the minors.. he makes wayy to many mistakes in the big leagues

Is this a rumor that I missed? Surely it involves more than essentially trading Maddux for Tejada.

It was a rumor I heard on Friday... Three way deal between the Cubs,Dodgers and Orioles Dodgers get Maddux, We get Izturis, and we send Izturis and Prospects to the Orioles for Tejada... theres prolly other prospects and no names involved too.. Id be all for that trade Get rid of Ronny too

Ronny didn't charge the ball. Unlike the Cubs, the met players hustle down the line. You can't wait for the ball to get to you then try to make the DP.

I think it depends on where Neifi was positioned. I figured he would have been shaded a little closer to 2nd for a DP chance with Maddux pitching. It seemed like he was closer to the line. It's a tough call, though it did seem Ronny's momentum should have been carrying him toward and through 2nd base.

after reading the last two pages i came to a realization that the 2007 cubs roster may include both izturus and wily tavares. :x

Cedeno laid back on the ball and nonchalanted the DP. I think Neifi's timing was thrown off because he expected the turn to be made quicker.
