CCR ousted Radiohead, thus they are dead to me. I will vote against them at every opportunity

I share your feelings, but would vote for the wildly low-ranked Doors anyway here.

Foggerty's vocals in "Long as I Can See the Light" are simply unbelieveable.

That's a good vocal. Great intense soul/gospel feel there.

CCR. The Doors' output was too uneven and they lacked enough really great singles.

Pink Floyd had one #1 single ever. So they are worse than CCR too?

I wasn't talking about record sales or chart positions.

ok, I'll rephrase. After Syd Barrett left the group in late '67/early '68, Pink Floyd only released 2 singles, one of which went #1. So I restate my original question

Zep didn't release singles either, but they had a lot of great individual tunes, which is what I was getting at in my original post. I probably shouldn't have used the term "single" to make my point.

well either way, Floyd is more of an album band. sorry to threadjack this scintillating matchup

everyone who thinks ccr is better than the doors should really not be allowed to vote
