Hopefully a playoff contention team saw that HR from Nevin. And hopefully that GM said. "We can sure use a guy like Nevin on our bench for the playoff run!"

i really dont think that would be a bad idea.... that would be great for any one!.... off the bench!

WOOOOOOO WOOOOOO another NEIFI lover..... wait did he really save us 25 games last year?

I understand you're joking but Derrek Lee might have won us four extra games last year.

Neifi could probably run faster if he could keep his hands away from his crotch for a few moments.

That's what steroids do to you...he's afraid he's gonna lose his jewels if he takes his hands off of them.

I wouldn't mind if they pinch-hit Zambrano in for Neifi and kept him at 2nd for the rest of the game. He's tall enough that he just needs to fall on the ball in any direction to reach it and it's nothing but short throws anyway.

I like your willingness to think outside the box but up-the-middle defense is incredibly important to a championship team, so Zambrano playing 2nd probably isn't a good idea. He might be good for a few more runs than Neifi on offense, but Neifi is a gold-glover and probably saved the Cubs from losing 25 or 26 games last year.

You're either drunk or not conveying sarcasm well.

If Neifi's on steriods, he needs to get a new druggist.

Sorry. I need to use this  more often.

I laughed out loud when Neifi got thrown out stealing second by a mile --- on a one-hop throw.

Nice to see Marmol battle back with that 3-pitch K after the 4-pitch walk to Biggio. A DP ball would be really nice here, I don't want to bullpen to screw Marmol out of a nice outing.

Wow. Len (I believe it was him) just said that the Braves, with 10 runs tonight, have become the first team since the 1930 New York Yankees to score 10+ runs in 5 straight games. The Braves have now scored 61 runs in the last five games and today's game is only in the 5th inning.

Burke sacrificed to the pitcher , 1-3, Biggio to second

#3 hitter in the lineup sacrificing when down 2 runs with one out against a rookie pitcher who's already walked 5 guys?

Cross Garner off the list of managers to replace Dusty.
