I appreciate KISS, but I'm not a big fan of the "glossy metal" scene. REM has been great for 20 years. REM it is

Kiss most definetly are not great musicians by any means but they still had some good tunes here and there like, I love It Loud. Gene on the battle ax spitting fire was cool rock n roll.

KISS are masters at marketing themselves, that's for sure. But their music grows tiresome. I do have a soft spot for "God Gave Rock N' Roll To You", though I'm pretty sure it's a cover of another band...

Thats definetly the better of their "Rock N Roll" songs. I cant stand Rock N Roll All Night. Everytime i hear it on the radio now i change the station immediately.

I'd like to second that and also throw the 'over-rated' tag on REM. I just never understood where all the REM hype came from.

 

And while everything from 'the Elder' on is pretty lame, 70's KISS was great. It's a shame that they've become such caricatures of themselves that no one will look at any of their music seriously again.
