I luckily clicked to the game on EI about 2 seconds before he stole, and it was so glorious I jumped up and dropped the remote and sent the batteries flying.

Please, if your going to post a topic about something really cool (by the way I heard about this, just not the date). . Post a link, or atleast the date, time, teams, and inning it happened so we can actually see it to discuss it.

God that amazing. How does that even work? I mean, the runner can't really BEAT a fastball, does the pitcher just panic and mess up?

I like Cabrera's more because the pitcher didn't even throw the ball.

Both were awesome though.

I liked Crawford's more, because he did it against a "veteran" in Jason Johnson. Plus, Crawford legitimately beat the throw him, so dude, he's like superfast.

It's mostly reading a slow windup, and being pretty fast. Both guys were halfway down the line before the ball was thrown (or not thrown).

Since the Cubs game was blacked out locally, I watched Tampa bay instead. Actually, I have been doing that a lot.

It was an exciting game because it was obvious that the Devil Rays really wanted to win. They still have a ways to go, but they have some players who are exciting to watch. I put Wigginton in that category; he has been getting some homers lately.

I tried stealing home in High School once. The third base coach let the batter know I was coming, but he still swung and fouled it off. I had it stolen too. I was just lucky when I slid I went underneath his bat otherwise he would have hit me with his swing. I was pissed, my one chance to steal home and the batter took it from me.

I remember Leon Durham stealing home against STL I believe. And Rick Sutcliff although I believe Sutcliffs was the back end of a double steal.

1) Johnson was pitching from a full stretch with no slide step

2) Johnson never looked at Crawford even once

3) Crawford was halfway down the line before Johnson started his slow delivery
