Has Dusty's "opportunity to turn this around" expired yet? Barring a miracle (which Dusty Baker believes in by the way), I think he's gone at the All-Star break. His only remaining excuse is that Wood isn't healthy, but at this point it looks like he never will be. I'd like to believe that there's no way Jim Hendry will allow this to continue past the All-Star break.

He's still waiting for horses in Miller and Bynum.

Dusty just can't wait to let Miller go 120+ pitches in his 3rd start back.

Dusty still doesn't have his players. They're all on the Mets, Tigers, and White Sox.

Just give Dusty his players, man.

I'm betting when spring training 2007 opens...Dusty Baker is the manager of the Chicago Cubs.

Me too. I'm thinking there will be little if any changes until someone higher on the food chain fires Hendry. Jimbo has lost all sense of reality---he's stuck in a corner ruled by his own ego, unable to accept that his plain is a grade A failure. He's not changing anything.

Me 3. These people have an odd way of running a team.

Yeah that was ridiculous today keeping Prior out there when he obviously had nothing left. Listening to Sports Central tonight, Steve Stone had made a comment where it was obvious that Prior was fatigued and that his arm angle had changed. How is it that nobody on the Cubs staff notices these things? Injuries aren't such a good excuse for a coaching staff when they are the ones causing them. This needs to end, and soon.

I agree it was pure sillyness leaving him out there. Dusty is packing his bags...I just know it.

I suppose Baker hasn't figured it out and never will that he may have been a big part of the horses being down. That guy is as clueless as they come.

Count me in with this as well. I still don't see Dusty being fired. The best I can hope for is for no extension but I don't think that Hendry realizes that Dusty isn't the right person for this job.
