Lets hope there are some real fireworks tomorrow....with the dismal play of the parent club, it'd be nice to see some real prospects get hot.

After starting 2-9, Boise has won 4 in a row to get themselves in a three-way tie for the NWL East division. That's right, they're tied for first place with a 6-9 record.

Mesa trails 9-5 in the 5th. Hernandez gave up 5 runs (1 earned) in 1.2 IP. Maradeo gave up 4 earned in relief.

Mesa came back to win 10-9, with 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th. Hernandez started for Mesa and went only an inning and 2/3's giving up 4 hits, 5 runs, only 1 run earned (3 Mesa errors in the first 2 innings), 1 BB, and struck out 1. Matt Maradeo pitched 2 innings allowing 4 hits, 4 runs, 0 BB's, and struck out 2. Walters pitched 2 and a third allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 BB, and struck out 1. Cedric Bennett pitched the 7th and retired all 3 batters. Kopach pitched the 8th and retired all 3 men and Marco Carrillo got his first win as he pitched a perfect 9th.

 

Williams had 3 hits, including a double, 3 RBI's, and a stolen base. Ryan Lilly added 3 hits as well, including a double and 2 RBI's. Every starter except Adam Hackstedt had at least one hit.

Peoria up 1-0 in the 4th. Atkins with 3 hits, 2 walks and a strikeout through 4. If he doesn't get promoted, I'll be watching him pitch in Peoria on Sunday.

Peoria puts up a 3 spot in the 4th to go up 4-0. Atkins went 6 innings giving up 5 hits, 3 walks and 2 strikeouts.

Guzman so far: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 1-4 GO-FO, but 54 pitches

 

Restovich homered earlier. Pie is 1-2 with an RBI and a double down the right field line. I-Cubs up 2-0.

Good for Gooz. He hadnt pitched in while and i would call this a success. Im not too upset he only pitched 54.

 

Nice work from the Don too as he continues to roll.

any updates from Boise?

 

1-1 in the 3rd inning. Muldowney started and has gone 2 IP so far, Colvin's playing center, and Sammy Baez has a double with a run.
