I liked it but I feel it got more pub than it should have because he was bleeding. It made him look more heroic.

Iguchi's play wasn't that great. It looks like a web gem b/c he stumbled while throwing it. And no, him being a White Sox has nothing to do with it. I still think Pierre robbing Bonds of 714 was impressive.

Maybe I'm crazy, but Sarge Jr's catch was the greatest I've ever seen. EVER.

2. Ibanez robbing that HR

3. Crisp diving to rob a hit

4. Rowand making that catch and going into the wall full force

I'm starting to wonder if I've seen the same Pierre catch. He ran it down to the centerfield wall(granted playing fairly deep considering it was Bonds). And reached up made the catch. Not much acrobatics involved. It saved the Cubs and RichHill from being the goat. But was it really a top 5 or even a top 10 of the year type of catch?

Well he did say it was his top 5 so maybe it means more to him because of the situation.

 

On the Iguchi play, while it was his fault he tripped, what happened afterward is absolutely outstanding. Falling away from firstbase, underhanded throw to first that's kinda shortarmed because he's so close to the ground, just amazing.

I don't think we even talk about Pierre's catch if it isn't Bonds going for 714.

 

Also, someone needs to make a clip of sick double plays. I could watch that all day, although it would mostly consist of just Pittsburgh.
